Autumn thoughts from David Short Golf

I trust that you are well and enjoying the feast of sport.  A wonderful British Open, the Ashes regained, the Premier League once again filling our screens and newspapers, the Rugby World Cup a matter of weeks away and of course the USA PGA this coming week.  With this in mind we have asked our resident experts for their tips on the likely winner:

David Says
Ricky Fowler for me!  He’s had a couple of wins this year and after last years near misses is due one. Didn’t do so well at St Andrews but had won in style the week before. Having closed out a couple of good wins this year I think he’s ready for a big one.

Barney Says
I am going for Justin Rose! He is in a rich vein of form at the moment, and having won a major quite recently his confidence is high. I also feel the ‘Links’ style venue of Whistling Straits will suit his game, plus we need a Brit to win a major this year!

Aaron Says
Being the new kid on the block I am going for Jason Day! He has just won the Canadian Open which is like a Major tournament and he finished top ten in the US Open and The Open!

So who are you backing for the US PGA? But if playing is more your style than watching, we still have some great trips planned for you to enjoy.

The Golf & Coaching Week in Spain at the La Quinta Golf Resort starting on 19th September has an excellent academy and if you are looking to fine-tune your game this is a great opportunity to do so.

The Malmo Golf Week in Sweden at the end of September although not the most obvious venue to travel to, provides the opportunity to play some fabulous golf courses in a quite unique Scandinavian environment.

The Dubai Golf Week at the beginning of October simply offers golfing opulence, wonderful weather, high class accommodation and marvelous restaurants.

The Asia Golf Tour in November offers you Bangkok, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai and Langkawi, which is Asia at its finest and a trip that will surely live long in the memory.

Links to the individual pdf brochures are above and you can also find all the details on the website.

We would really like to your feedback and comments on the trips you have been on to share on our website with our other clients, future clients and friends, so please feel free to email, like us on facebook, follow us on twitter or just place a comment via the website.

If you have any queries, require further information or indeed wish to provisionally book a place on any of the events, please do not hesitate to contact us.

With kind regards,

David and the team
