The Yorkshire long weekend golf tour is the third of the breaks and includes three charming golf courses in the north west of Yorkshire and one of the UK’s finest golf courses, Moortown Golf Club.

Thursday 14th August:
– 18 holes Shipley Golf Club
– Check in to the Mercure Bingley Hotel, Bingley
– Dinner at the hotel
Shipley Golf Club Opened in 1921 the current golf course was designed by the renowned golf course architect Dr Alister MacKenzie, and is tucked away in a beautiful, mature wooded valley at Beckfoot just outside the town of Bingley in West Yorkshire. Shipley has long been known as one of the best golf courses in the Yorkshire area and is a regular venue for the Yorkshire County and Bradford Union fixtures, whilst also being the home of the Bradford and District Union of Golf Clubs.
Friday 15th August:

Bingley St Ives Golf Club Situated within the historic St. Ives estate on the edge of Bingley, Bingley St. Ives offers a truly enjoyable and testing golf experience. Dating back to 1931, the course ranks among the best in Yorkshire and can boast the input of Dr. Alister MacKenzie, one of the recognised greats of golf course design in its early layout development. The unusual single loop course layout takes golfers from parkland, to woodland, to moorland and back again during the course of 18 holes and offers stunning views along the Aire Valley towards Bradford and Leeds, across the famous Bronte moorlands to the west and the imposing Rombalds Moor in the direction of Ilkley and the North.
Saturday 16th August:

Moortown Golf Club Founded in 1909, Moortown was designed by the world famous golf course architect Dr Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National, Cypress Point, Royal Melbourne and many other championship courses throughout the world. Well known around the world as the host of the first Ryder Cup match on British soil in 1929, Moortown is regarded by many as one of the Country’s finest inland golf courses. Over the past Century the Club has hosted many professional and amateur tournaments with winners that include Sir Nick Faldo, Bernard Gallagher and Sir Michael Bonallack, former Captain of the R & A, to name but a few.

– 18 holes Northcliffe Golf Club
Northcliffe Golf Club Northcliffe Golf Club is situated in the heart of West Yorkshire on the outskirts of Shipley, overlooking the beautiful Aire Valley. It boasts an 18-hole course set in some 100 acres of parkland, and hosts some of the most scenic and challenging holes in Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Golfer Magazine describes the approach to the first tee as “jaw dropping”. The signature 18th hole, a par 3 from an elevated tee into a narrow green alongside a ravine, is described as “breathtaking” and “one of golf’s great finishing holes”. A fitting course with which to conclude a superb weekend of golf in Yorkshire.

Iain and his team will then book your place(s) and send your confirmation details within 24 hours. With the initial confirmation details, will come a request for a deposit, which is £50.00 per person for UK events, £150.00 per person for European overseas events and £250.00 per person for longer haul holidays.
Two months prior to the commencement of each event, you will be sent an invoice for the balance of your booking, with an acknowledgement of the payment once received. Two weeks prior to commencement of the event itself, you will be sent a Travel Pack, which will include the contact details for David or Barney, the transport arrangements where applicable, the itinerary for the event, contact details for the accommodation, as well as the names of the other members attending the event.
David or Barney will then meet you on the day of arrival.
