  • Itinerary

    Thursday 18th June:

    – 18 holes North Wilts Golf Club

    – Check in to the Angel Hotel, Chippenham

    – Dinner at the hotel

    North Wilts Golf Club

The North Wilts Golf Club was established in 1890 and is one of the oldest golf clubs in the county. The Club is situated high on the downlands of Wiltshire and provided spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. The original 9 holes were redesigned by Harry Colt in 1933 and extended to 18 holes in 1972. The chalk base of the course allows free drainage and the 18 hole par 71 course provides an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all abilities. In recent years, North Wilts has been privileged to host two major EGU Championships. The club has excellent practice facilities with bunkers, chipping and putting greens, together with a practice net. The Club is also justifiably proud of its friendly reputation and we know that they will do everything possible to ensure that our day at North Wilts is a memorable one.

    Friday 19th June:

    – Breakfast

    – 18 holes Bath Golf Club

    – Dinner at the hotel

    Bath Golf Club

Bath Golf Club, established in 1880, is one of England’s finest and oldest inland courses. The 18 hole, 6505 yard, par 71 course may not be the length that today’s course designers favour, but in the 1880s they knew how to create a challenge using the natural contours of a hilltop location. The course is full of variety and is laid out over fine “golfing country”. Springy downland turf over shallow soil and limestone ensures rapid draining and the course is usually found to be in superb condition.

    Saturday 20th June:

    – Breakfast

    – 18 holes Chippenham Golf Club

    – Dinner at the hotel

    Chippenham Golf Club

Chippenham has improved dramatically with the recent introduction of seven new holes and indeed the building of a new Clubhouse. Accuracy and patience are required to fashion a good score. The white tees measure in at 6,414 yards while the reds measure 5,818. The more established part of the course requires placement and thought, while the newer holes allow us to open our shoulders a little more. The greens provide a good defence, being on the smaller side, but once we are on the surface we are guaranteed a smooth and consistent roll. The course is gently undulating in places and the newest holes now offer stunning views over the Wiltshire countryside. Water hazards come into play on three of these holes.

    Sunday 21st June:

    – Breakfast

    – Check out of the hotel

    – 18 holes Cumberwell Park Golf Club

    Cumberwell Park Golf Club

Since opening in 1994 Cumberwell Park is now established as one of the best courses in the South West and has been awarded four stars in Golf World’s Top Courses in Britain. The 36 hole course provides different challenges for golfers of every ability. The course encompasses a wonderful blend of rolling countryside, lakes, streams, natural copse and woodland. The natural contours of the landscape have shaped the design of the course, which covers 400 acres. The beauty and interest of the course is further enhanced by nine lakes, thirty-four acres of woodland and free flowing streams. All greens have been constructed and maintained to the highest specification and the course has been sown using the highest-rated cultivators available and maintained using state of the art green keeping techniques and machinery. The team of dedicated green staff take tremendous pride in their work and this is reflected in the course presentation.
