• Overview

The Iberostar Bouganville Playa Hotel is located in Costa Adeje, just 200m from the famous Playa del Bobo beach.  With spacious and modern bedrooms, attentive and professional staff, three outdoor pools surrounded by a sun terrace, and a gym, the hotel provides the ideal setting for our week in Tenerife.  What’s more, we’ll find the shops, restaurants and bars in the Pueblo Canario area, just 50 metres away from the hotel.

Golf Costa Adeje – Championship Course

The Costa Adeje course has been designed by integrating the natural characteristics of the area into the course. The original wall stones, used to demarcate the former banana plantations located on these grounds, were totally restored and added to the other original landmarks of this wonderful golf spot. The course provides a good, but fair challenge to players of all abilities.

    Amarilla Golf Course

On the southern coast of Tenerife, bordering the sea, we find the Amarilla Golf and Country Club. The character of the 18-hole course is marked by the incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean which without a doubt inspired golf architect Donald Steel. The golf course provides a challenge for the professional golfer, whilst at the same time offers an attractive and enjoyable game for those of a more modest ability. From the first tee, we discover the spectacular ocean views.  The 2nd, 3rd and 4th holes are surrounded by a broad variety of typical Canarian flora, enormous Cannas Indicas, the beautiful Washington Palms and the very exclusive Canarian Pines.  The most impressive part of the course reaches its peak at the 5th hole.  This is truly a gem, where the sea becomes a fairway, making it necessary to cross in order to reach the green.

    Golf del Sur Golf Club

The Golf Del Sur course opened in 1987, with a professional tournament, has hosted since then many competitions at the highest international level since.  During the years 1989, 1992, 1993 and 1994 it hosted the Tenerife Open, belonging to the PGA European Volvo Tour, with victories of José Maria Olazábal in its first two editions and of David Gilford and Mark James, in the following years.  In 2002, Golf del Sur hosted a new international tournament, and on this occasion the leading role went to ladies with the first Tenerife Ladies Open tournament, part of the LPGA European Evian Tour.  This was the first Ladies Open to be played in Spain after many years.  Golf del Sur, first designed by Pepe Gancedo was then remodelled in 2005 by Manuel Piñero (Links and North Course) and has become the first Golf Club in the Canary Islands to have three competition courses.  Each of the courses offers interesting rounds where our attention will be caught by the volcanic black sand bunkers, the huge greens and the wide fairways.

    Las Americas Golf Club

Located in the resort of Playa de las Americas, the Golf Las Americas course overlooks the sea and has been host to a number of important Spanish Championships. The 18 hole, par 72 course features a number of lakes and water-filled ravines. It is noted for its excellent maintenance and its professionalism.  The course which covers over 90 hectares of land is situated in the heart of Playa de Las Americas. One of the most notable features are the streams, ravines and lakes, which cross the course. Water comes in to play on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th 12th, 13th, 17th and 18th holes. The Clubhouse overlooks the 18th fairway and green and both the 1st and 10th tees are also located close to the Clubhouse.  The course is one of the finest in Tenerife.
