• Overview

    The Medoc Golf Hotel, Bordeaux

Located just outside Bordeaux and nestling amidst the Golf du Médoc’s two courses, classed among Europe’s finest, the Golf du Médoc Resort, is a unique establishment that rubs shoulders with the famous vineyards with which the hotel has established close ties.  The hotel overlooks the golf courses and offers exceptional views from the restaurants and the rooms’ private patios.
Its architecture, where light and space create an impression of fluidity and the sensation of being somewhere out of the ordinary, make the Golf du Médoc Resort an ideal venue for the tour.

Golf de Medoc Golf Club – Chateaux Course and Les Vignes Course

Golf de Medoc is one of the best 36-hole golf resorts in France. The two golf courses have justifiably hosted European Tour events over the years and continue to attract visiting golfers to the region.

The Les Chateau course is a must for golfers who appreciate a tough challenge. It was ranked as the best golf course in France at the World Golf Awards in 2016.  It is similar to a traditional Scottish links course, with its wide fairways lined with heather, gorse and broom. Its fast greens, technical difficulty, and the winds off the nearby Atlantic Ocean, make it a real challenge.

The Les Vignes is considered by many to be a better course than the older Chateaux course and the argument has been ongoing since the course opened in 1991. Also ranked in the Top 100 European golf courses, it is classified as a woodland course and there are plenty of hazards to navigate. As with its sister course, the greens are excellent, just not as undulating. The two courses together provide one of the most attractive golfing propositions in the region.

    Bluegreen BordeauxLac Golf Club

The Golf Bluegreen Bordeaux-Lac Club, located in the picturesque Bordeaux-Lac region, is a golfer’s paradise. The Club offers a splendid 18-hole course, showcasing the natural beauty of the area. Golf Bluegreen Bordeaux-Lac is not only a golf haven but also a destination for relaxation with the Clubhouse being a hub for golfers to unwind and connect after a round.

    Grand Saint Emilionnaise Golf Club

One of the best courses in the area and designed by one of the best architects in the world, Tom Doak. This exceptional Grand Saint Emilionnaise course unfolds in a valley fringed by centenary oak trees, framed by vineyards and is located just 6 miles from the village of Saint Emilion.  The course provides a new experience in France that combines the “art de vivre à la française” with the British way of playing golf. The panoramic view over the course from the Clubhouse is also a thrill for any player.  No artificial earth movement was created, and the holes follow one another in the most natural and free flowing way; such is Tom Doak’s talent for the routing plan.
