• Overview

The purpose of the South Africa golf tour is to play some wonderful golf courses and to truly experience South Africa at its finest, both the stunning coastal and mountain settings, as well as the unique character and charisma of South African society.  We have been touring South Africa annually now for more than 20 years, but each time we set foot on the plane to come home, we simply want to be stepping off it again to commence the return trip.  We will also ensure that the ambience and hospitality of the tour is first class; it is a social tour as much as a golf tour, and we will experience wonderful restaurants, wine estates as well as getting a real feel for the regions of South Africa that we visit.Have a look at the itinerary for details of the hotels and golf courses we will be visiting. To book a place on the tour, please call or email Iain, or send a booking request via the web-site and we will then confirm your booking accordingly.  I very much hope to see you in South Africa early next year.

Wednesday 4th March – Welcome to the Eastern Cape and Game Reserves

We say farewell to the Garden Route and welcome to the Eastern Cape, home to South Africa’s Big 5.  The Kariega Game Reserve, our accommodation for the short tour, is one of the finest Game Reserves in the Eastern Cape.  And there is no time to waste, as having checked in, we will embark on an afternoon Game Drive.  Accompanied by qualified rangers, we will experience true African big game from open land rovers.  Sundowners at scenic spots will offer the opportunity to take in the tranquillity of the surrounding bush.  Having returned to the hotel, we will enjoy dinner in the hotel’s excellent restaurant.

Overnight at the Kariega Game Reserve & Spa, Eastern Cape (includes dinner)

Thursday 5th March – Day of game drives and leisure

When staying at a Game Reserve, we need to do it properly; hence it’s up early for a morning game drive. Much of the wildlife is at its most active early in the morning, which is why we need to be up with the lark!  Breakfast will be taken after the game drive, with the day spent relaxing before a further afternoon game drive.  Lunch and dinner are both provided onsite.

Overnight at the Kariega Game Reserve & Spa, Eastern Cape (includes lunch and dinner)

Friday 6th March – Day of game drives and leisure

Another early start to catch the wildlife at its most active in the morning, and I assure you it is worth it.  To see the morning mist rolling away, the sun come up and the wildlife starting their daily routine, is quite inspirational.  To be able to just relax too during the day, taking in a leisurely lunch, before the afternoon game drive and dinner, is pure tranquility.  Time slows down to a very acceptable pace!

Overnight at the Kariega Game Reserve & Spa, Eastern Cape (includes lunch and dinner)

    Saturday 7th March – Departures

Sadly all good things have to come to an end.  After breakfast and perhaps one final early morning Game Drive, we will check out and be transferred back to Port Elizabeth airport to commence the journey home.
