• Overview

    The Petwood Hotel

With a glorious setting and a rich heritage, the Petwood Hotel is a country hotel with a difference.  With a friendly service, rooms full of character, a splendid 30 acres of grounds, and fine locally sourced food, the hotel is the perfect location for our tour of Lincolnshire.  The hotel is steeped in aviation history, being the legendary home of the 617 ‘Dambusters’ Squadron.  The hotel is a quintessentially English destination, and has a charm about it that will enrich our golf experience in Lincolnshire.

Woodhall Spa Golf Club – Hotchkin Course

Ranked among the World’s Top 100 Courses by Golf World magazine (25th), the Hotchkin Course at the National Golf Centre, Woodhall Spa, is consistently rated among the world’s finest heathland golf experiences.  For more than a century, golfers have been welcomed to this exquisite heathland course, famous for its natural beauty, dramatic bunkering and distinct tactical challenge. Each of The Hotchkin Course’s 18 holes is individually memorable, while the joy of every drive and crisply struck iron shot from firm, heathland turf makes for an unforgettable experience.  We will play two rounds on this magnificent golf course.

Woodhall Spa Golf Club – Bracken Course

Created by Donald Steel, one of Britain’s foremost golf course architects of the modern era, the Bracken Course, which opened in 1998, has evolved into a course of exceptional finesse that is appreciated and enjoyed every day by golfers of all abilities.  Hewn from a contrasting landscape of woodland and arable farmland, the fairways and greenside bunkers are more generous than those of the Hotchkin Course, while the large, welcoming greens are more approachable, yet require thought and touch to master the true-rolling putting surfaces.  What makes the Bracken Course both special and a pleasure to play is its reputation as a role model for contemporary golf course creation.  Its wild flowers and wildlife habitats emphasise the importance of ecology and natural harmony, an area of expertise in which the English Golf Union offers thought leadership and professional advisory services.  A superb compliment to the Hotchkin course.

    Blankney Golf Club

Located in the heart of rural Lincolnshire and part of the Blankney Golf Club estate this beautiful parkland golf course is always a pleasure to play.  For over a century golfers have enjoyed Blankney and its natural surroundings and more recently have witnessed tremendous improvements which have brought the course ‘up-to-date’ with consideration to golfers of all standards.

    Canwick Park Golf Club

Louth Golf Club was originally founded in 1965 in an area of outstanding natural beauty bordering the Hubbard’s Hills. Over the years the club has evolved to provide a well groomed and yet challenging 6,444 yard 18 hole parkland course. With panoramic views over the Lincolnshire countryside and towards the Humber Estuary, it is suitable for golfers at all levels of skill and experience.
