• Overview

We have adjusted the programme slightly for the 2018 tours, with two rounds each to be played on both the Woodhall Spa Hotchkin and Bracken courses, and one round at Blankney Golf Club. To compliment the superb golf, we are again staying in one of the best hotels in the area, the Petwood Hotel, which is not only high on quality, but steeped in history too, being the former headquarters of the Dam Busters 617 squadron.

We will play five rounds during the tour and enjoy dinner and the unique ambience of the hotel each evening. If however, you wanted to play a round or two less, please let us know and we can tailor the cost of the trip to your requirements. Lincolnshire is also my old home turf, and I look forward to sharing with you, this wonderful part of the country.

    The Petwood Hotel

With a glorious setting and a rich heritage, the Petwood Hotel is a country hotel with a difference.  With a friendly service, rooms full of character, a splendid 30 acres of grounds, and fine locally sourced food, the hotel is the perfect location for our tour of Lincolnshire.  The hotel is steeped in aviation history, being the legendary home of the 617 ‘Dambusters’ Squadron.  The hotel is a quintessentially English destination, and has a charm about it that will enrich our golf experience in Lincolnshire.

Woodhall Spa Golf Club – Hotchkin Course

Located on the outskirts of the leafy Edwardian spa town of Woodhall Spa, 20 miles from historic Lincoln, each of The Hotchkin Course’s 18 holes is individually memorable, while the joy of every drive and crisply struck iron shot from firm, heathland turf makes for an unforgettable experience.

Woodhall Spa Golf Club – Bracken Course

Created by Donald Steel, one of Britain’s foremost golf course architects of the modern era, The Bracken Course, which opened in 1998, has evolved into a course of exceptional finesse that is appreciated and enjoyed every day by golfers of all abilities.  Its wild flowers and wildlife habitats emphasise the importance of ecology and natural harmony, an area of expertise in which the English Golf Union offers thought leadership and professional advisory services.

    Blankney Golf Club

For over a century, golfers have enjoyed Blankney Golf Club and its natural surroundings and more recently have witnessed tremendous improvements which have brought the course ”up-to-date” with consideration to golfers of all standards. You can play at Blankney throughout the year with the course standing up well to varying conditions.
