Championship Golf Meets Five-Star Luxury at Costa Navarino 8th May 2025

After a phenomenal week in Belek, we headed to another world-class destination; Costa Navarino in Greece. With its stunning 5-star Westin Resort and four championship golf courses, it’s no surprise that this trip quickly became a favourite on the David Short Golf calendar.

Our base for the week, The Westin Resort, offered everything we needed and more -luxurious rooms, exceptional service, and the kind of views that make you pause and take a deep breath. The perfect setting for a week of coaching, golf, and genuine relaxation.

We played five rounds across all four of Navarino’s championship courses: The Dunes (twice) The Bay, The Olympic, and The International. Each course brought its own unique challenge and style – from the dramatic coastal holes of The Bay to the precision required on The Olympic. With such a variety, every day felt fresh and exciting.

Mornings began with focused coaching sessions, giving everyone the opportunity to fine-tune their game before heading out onto the course. The facilities were fantastic, and the combination of structured coaching followed by play really helped everyone settle into their game and build confidence throughout the week.

Evenings were a treat in themselves. We dined not only at the resort, where the food and wine were exceptional, but also explored local gems in nearby Pylos and Gialova. The atmosphere, the Greek cuisine and the small group were a perfect combination for a fabulous week.

When we weren’t golfing, many of us took full advantage of the resort’s pools and spa. Whether it was an afternoon by the pool, the fabulous spa or peaceful walk through the grounds down to the beach there was plenty of time to unwind and soak in the Mediterranean sun.

What stood out most was the balance of the week – five rounds of world-class golf, quality coaching, fantastic food, and enough downtime to truly relax. The group dynamic was brilliant, and the setting couldn’t have been better.

Costa Navarino has certainly earned its place as one of our top golf destinations, and I can’t wait to return in September 2025
