At the David Short UK Golf Academy you will be shown the technical keys to learning or improving your golf and guided how best to achieve this within your aspirations and ability.
I am really excited about the new Golf Academy programme at Staverton Park. Barney Puttick will head up the Golf Academy, bringing you the latest thoughts on modern golf and using the latest technology.
Golf at the top level has moved on enormously in my 16 years at Staverton Park and the technology, variety of equipment, video analysis etc now available is mind blowing. Drivers are easier to use, hybrids make long iron play and semi rough easier too. The selection of wedges and quality putters is almost infinite and can be confusing, albeit there is something there for everyone. Video is incredibly revealing and ‘seeing is believing’. But how much has that truly improved the general standard of the club golfer? To improve and play your best, having the right equipment in your bag is important, being able to use it properly, more so.
The Golf Academy programme will concentrate mainly on technical aspects of all areas of the game from putting to driving. We will also ensure you have the right impartial advice on the best equipment for you, but more importantly, how best to use it!

11:00: – Meet with Aaron Shepherd for introduction
11:30: – Swing clinic with video filming and individual analysis
13:30: – Lunch
14:30: – Swing instruction
16:00: – Putting clinic & individual instruction
17:30: – Leisure time or golf available
19:30: – Meet for Dinner
Saturday
09:00: – Long putts, chipping and short pitches
11:00: – Coffee break with Question & Answer session
11:45: – Swing instruction
13:15: – Lunch
14:30: – 9 holes with instruction (18 holes available)
19:30: – Meet for Dinner
Sunday
09:00: – More pitching and bunker play
11:00: – Coffee break with Question & Answer session
11:45: – Swing instruction
13:00: – Lunch
14:00: – Before and after video analysis with individual resume.
