Please don't hesitate to contact us about this tour

There are some golf tours that really capture the imagination and Arizona seems to be one of them.
With all of our long haul trips, the quality of the golf is paramount, but it is often the setting, the environment and the culture that create that wonderful cocktail of a tour to remember.
South Africa does it year in, year out, China and British Columbia in the past. May Arizona meet and exceed the pre-tour expectation. The tour commences in the iconic City of Las Vegas, where we will play two of the best courses in the area, as well as having an option to visit the Grand Canyon by helicopter, and of course have time to experience all that is Las Vegas. We then spend a couple of nights in Sedona in order to play the exceptional Sedona Golf Resort. The following eight nights will be spent in Scottsdale playing a variety of top courses in the region.

  • Sunday 5th November:                    Welcome to Arizona

~ Arrive at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport

    ~ Meet & Greet

~ Transfer to the Vdara Hotel, Las Vegas

~ Meet David for an introduction to the tour

On arrival into Las Vegas we will be met and transferred to our hotel, the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas.  Located on the Las Vegas strip, the casino-less Vdara Hotel is one of the few places in Las Vegas without a gimmick. In fact, the design of the property’s 1,495 suites and 18,000-square-foot spa brings to mind the kinds of words you rarely hear uttered in Las Vegas, relaxed, peaceful, elegant.  The hotel offers a unique perspective on Las Vegas, offering access to all of the city’s over the top wonders, yet somehow, Vdara feels like an escape, which in turn makes it the perfect location to start the tour.

Instead of a casino, the resort has invested in the two-story ESPA spa, where we can indulge in natural treatments unique to the site.  The hotel also has a wide range of other leisure facilities, a fine selection of restaurants and also the Vdara Market Café, which is ideal should the urge for coffee or shopping occur.

Please note that breakfast is not included in the cost of the stay at the Vdara Hotel, as is the case in so many American hotels, and will be added to your extra’s account.

Overnight – The Vdara Hotel, Las Vegas

Monday 6th November:                   The Revere Golf Club

~ 18 holes The Revere Golf Club - Lexington / Concorde Course

We commence our golf at the quite wonderful The Revere presents a blend of beauty and challenge unlike any other in southern Nevada. Draped through the rugged desert canyons and valleys of the Las Vegas foothills, The Revere Golf Club offers unending, awe-inspiring views of the Las Vegas Skyline and mountains beyond, and the Lexington’s stunning 7,143 -yard, par-72 layout will test your shot making capabilities with classic risk/reward scenarios. Our Concord Course, the latest creation, offers a 7,034 yard par-72 layout that offers Bermuda fairways and large greens.

Tuesday 7th November:                  Non golfing day

~ Optional Grand Canyon Helicopter tour or

    ~ A day at leisure

A day away from the fairways today, with the option to take a rather unique visit to the Grand Canyon by helicopter, or to take the opportunity to explore at first hand, the Las Vegas Strip.

The Grand Canyon is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.  The unique combinations of geologic colour and erosional forms decorate the canyon that is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and a mile deep.  You will be taken by helicopter from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon and embark on what will surely be a day to remember.  The helicopter takes off from the Las Vegas Strip and flies over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon before landing 4,000 feet at the bottom of the Canyon.  The day includes a champagne picnic, all taxes and fees plus a flight over The Strip on the return.  The tour lasts 4 hours in total.  The cost is $539per person (approximately £440.00 per person).  If you would like us to book this tour, please let us know in advance, so that we can make the suitable arrangements.

If you would prefer to stay in Las Vegas for the day, it would be a great opportunity to explore the Las Vegas Strip.  The Las Vegas Strip is a stretch of South Las Vegas Boulevard in Clark County, famous for its concentration of resort hotels and casinos. The Strip is approximately 4.2 miles in length, and is actually located immediately south of the Las Vegas city limits in the unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester.  However, the Strip is often referred to as being in Las Vegas. Many of the largest hotel, casino, and resort properties in the world are located on the Las Vegas Strip.  Fourteen of the world's 25 largest hotels by room count are on the Strip, with a total of over 62,000 rooms.  One of the most visible aspects of Las Vegas' cityscape is its use of dramatic architecture and lights.  The rapidly evolving skyline and constant modernisation of hotels, casinos, restaurants, residential high-rises, and entertainment offerings on the Strip, have established it as one of the most popular destinations for tourists in the United States, and the world.

Friday 17th November:                    SunRidge Canyon Golf Club

    ~ Breakfast

~ 18 holes SunRidge Golf Club

Today we will play SunRidge Canyon Golf Club, a beautiful layout that winds up and down the foothills of the McDowell Mountains.  Nestled amongst canyon walls, the golf course can seem like the missing piece to a beautiful golf course puzzle that evolved during millions of years in the Sonoran Desert.  Keith Foster designed the golf course in 1995, making use of the course’s natural views and intertwining pristine fairways with strategically placed hazards and leading many of them down to undulating greens. The final six holes are appropriately dubbed the "Wicked Six" for their difficult climb up the canyon and the wicked wind that normally blows against golfers, setting up a daunting finish.  The fairways are narrow, and the desert, which is full of cacti, brush, boulders and wildflowers, creeps close to the fairways at many points throughout the course.  A truly iconic Arizona golf course.

Saturday 18th November:                We-Ko-Pa Golf Club

    ~ Breakfast

    ~ 18 holes We-Ko-Pa Golf Club

We conclude our golf in Scottsdale in true style, at the quite extraordinary We-Ko-Pa Golf Club.  The We-Ko-Pa experience begins miles from the Golf Club, where the city ends and the beautiful Sonoran Desert begins.  Welcome to the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.  Here, the landscape is open, the colors are more vibrant and the mountains are seemingly within an arm’s reach away.  Upon arrival, we will be greeted by We-Ko-Pa’s award winning clubhouse that rises from its desert surroundings. Inspired by the Yavapai culture, the clubhouse features a ‘desert vernacular’ styling with unique detail contributions that draw inspiration from the natural environment. Sloped entry walls and a wood beam canopy create a canyon like feel entryway, followed by a fire feature that is designed to symbolize the importance of woven baskets within the Yavapai culture.  The clubhouse is replete with stylized detailing and yields spectacular views of the McDowell Mountains, Red Mountain, Four Peaks and the Superstitions.  Unlike other Arizona golf courses, there are no homes, condos or town homes lining the fairways.  At We-Ko-Pa, the Sonoran Desert is our neighbour for the day and the term ‘high-rise’ is either used to describe the ancient saguaros in the foreground or the magnificent mountains in the distance. In fact, the views are so spectacular at We-Ko-Pa that the sound, strategic playing value of the holes could possibly get overlooked. The variety in the routing and placing of holes will keep us entertained from the opening tee shot to the final tap in.  There are two courses at We-Ko-Po, Cholla and Saguaro, and both feature an ideal blend of doglegs and straightaway holes, a mix of slender and ample fairways, a balance between benign and rugged green complexes. Yet without exception, both courses offer a host of shot making options and plenty of grassy bail out areas when the occasional shot gets away.  We-Ko-Pa is proudly owned by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, and is a fitting finale to our stay in Scottsdale.
